Living alone
Okay, so the title might be a bit of an exaggeration—I don’t live alone, I live with my fiancé Jordan and our cat, Mia. Jordan travels for work from time to time, which means I often find myself in our apartment with just Mia for company.
While I cherish my alone time, I also enjoy having someone around. Jordan and I have a great life together, so his absence is quite noticeable. Normally, I try to keep myself busy when he’s away to make the time go by—out every night, constantly on the go. This time, though, I decided to take a different approach.
While my 9-to-5 keeps me occupied during the 9-to-5 hours, I still have the mornings and evenings to myself.
I’ve kept things low-key, having a few friends over and spending time at some family friends houses, but mostly, I’ve been embracing the solitude. Instead of binge-watching a show, I’ve been enjoying the quiet—sometimes scrolling through my phone, sometimes experimenting in the kitchen. I stocked up on peaches and cherries, and I’ve been treating myself to a fresh fruit bowl each night before bed. I also picked up some Detox ampoules from a chic Yorkville shop, which have been a fun new addition to my morning routine.
Luckily, this solo stint is only five days long. I’ll report back on what I get up to in my next “living alone” chapter!
